Mr K.M. Yim, currently Chairperson of InnoSights & Co., has over 33 years of professional experience in marketing, branding, advertising and customer relationship management (CRM).

Mr Yim served at various top-notch 4As companies, including Leo Burnett, Bozell, Bates and DMB&B, and has contributed to the successful launches and campaigns of a great number of international and local brands, such as Marlboro, Seiko, American Express, De Beers, HSBC, MTR, KCR, JDH Trading, Towngas, Feb detergent, Sincere Department Store, Eagle Star, and the list goes on.

As a seasoned business and marketing professional, Mr Yim has been appointed various prominent offices inside and outside Hong Kong, including: 

  • Chairman, Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (HKIM)
  • Vice-chairman, Asia Marketing Federation (AMF)
  • Honorary President, Macao Creative Industry Association (MCIA)
  • Curriculum Consultant, Faculty of Commerce, Chu Hai College of Higher Education
  • Curriculum Consultant, School of Business, Baptist United College
  • Curriculum Consultant, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (HKIVE)
  • Committee Member, Design, Marketing and Licensing Service Committees, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
  • Member, Anti-spam Working Group, Hong Kong Special Administration Region (HKSAR) Government

As a seasoned marketing and branding consultant, Mr Yim has been invited to be the judge of various first-rated creative and branding awards in Greater China scope. On top of this, Mr Yim has also been hosted and guest-lectured for over 200 training, talks and seminars on marketing strategies, digital marketing, marketing management, branding and advertising. In 2007, Mr Yim led his team in HKIM to pioneer “HKIM Brand Conscience Award”, the highly regarded corporate social responsibility programme in the marketing industry of Hong Kong.

As a figurehead of in the marketing profession, Mr Yim has been invited for interviews by various TV and radio channels, press and online media almost every single weekly, sharing his views and professional knowledge on marketing and branding. In the meantime, Mr Yim has also been invited to guest-hosted for a number of programmes in major TV and radio channels in Hong Kong.

Having keen interests in research of marketing and its applications, Mr Yim has been contributing articles on marketing strategies, digital marketing, branding, advertising and creativity to various newspapers, like “Hong Kong Economic Journal” and “Sing Tao Daily”. Mr Yim is also the co-author of books, “Win On Marketing” and “E-marketing Winning Cases”.
